I am a social scientist, quantitative researcher, enthusiast, and a Master’s student in Sociology at the University of São Paulo (USP). I study social inequality and violence with a focus on applying computational statistics and spatial analysis to understand criminal data and urban dynamics.
Currently, I’m a Visiting Postgraduate Researcher (VPGR) at the Department of Criminology, University of Manchester, under the supervision of Dr. Thiago R. Oliveira, with funding from The São Paulo Research Foundation. My main goal here is to develop a comparative project between São Paulo and London, analysing spatial patterns of policing in large metropolitan areas and how neighbourhood context shapes the ways police engage with local populations.
